SORTING

Date (most recent) is the default sort order. The date is determined by the most recent archived email or file matching your search query.

You can also sort by ascending and descending on date, relevance, sender, subject, number of attachments. The relevance is determined by the full text index and is an approximate rank assessment based on the number and complexity of search terms and the number of results.

Use Expand All, Collapse All and Mini view to help navigate search results more easily.

    * Use Expand All to display all the text view results at one time. This might be necessary if you want to browse through the entire body of a message in order to locate what you are looking for.

    * Use Collapse All to see the message context that surrounds the search terms. This might be helpful if you are only interested in locating the terms you are looking for without having to browse through the entire body of a message.

    * Use Mini view to display only messages' subject(s), sender(s) and recipient(s). You might appreciate this view if you want to quickly browse through the search results only looking at few fields.

Viewing messages
is easy. Just click the subject and the full message will expand. Click the subject again and the message will return to snippet view.

Filter my results allows you to search only within the current search results. Filtering is useful to refine search results from a large list to smaller list.

    * To apply a legal hold on an entire search, a tag category or on a filter.
    * To purge an entire search search, a tag category, or a filter.

Legal Hold allows you to do different actions after clicking on Legal Hold from the search results page:
    * To display results for a search, a specific tag category and for a filter (search views page).
    * To export collections of messages to a variety of file formats (PST, NSF, File, Text, PDF, HTML).
    * To apply a legal hold on an entire search, a tag category or on a filter.
    * To purge an entire search, a tag category, or a filter.
