5.3.4 Message Size Exceeds Fixed Maximum
Posted by Carlos Rios on 15 November 2017 02:36 PM

This is not an error generated by the Reflexion Total Control service. This is an error generated by the receiving server that indicates that the message has violated some level of attachment size filtering present on that server.

To resolve this error, you will need to investigate filtering policies present on that server.

In Exchange 2007 SP1 and later, you can also set the organizational message size limits using the EMC by going to:

Organization Configuration > Hub Transport > Global Settings tab > Transport Settings > Properties > General tab

The maximum message size limit can vary between different receive connectors on a hub transport or edge transport server. For example, a receive connector for inbound internet mail may have lower message size limits, but you may want to allow larger messages on the receive connector for authenticated senders or partners.

To modify the maximum message size on a receive connector using the Exchange console, select the following:

Server Configuration > Hub Transport > select a hub transport server > Receive Connectors > select a connector > Properties > General tab

Reflexion's maximum message size limit is 50 megabytes and cannot be changed.
