How to Add a domain alias to an account.

If you are adding multiple domains then you'll need to ask yourself 2 things, First is inbound mail for both domains going to be handled by the same mail server (if this is the case then adding the domain as a domain alias to the existing is the way to go) if mail for both domains are handled by different mail servers then (if this is the case then adding the domain as an individual/primary domain is the way to go). Second question to ask yourself is, are the multiple domains each going to have its own user list (if this is the case then adding the domain as an individual/primary domain is the way to go) or is the user list the same for each of the domains (if this is the case then adding the domain as a domain alias to the existing is the way to go).

If you would like to add an alias domain to your account, please do the following:

Instructions/Procedure

1. Logon to the Control Console
2. Select Account Management
3. Select Domains
4. Select the desired primary domain
5. Click Edit Aliases
6. All existing alias domains will be displayed. Enter the alias domain you wish to add in the lower text box and click Add
7. Repeat Step 6 as required to enter additional alias domains as needed
8. Click Done.

NOTE: After the addition of the domain alias(es), adjust the MX Records at the alias domain's DNS host to point to McAfee SaaS MX Records using either the primary domain's MX Records or create individual MX Records for each alias domain.
