Emails are not received after setting up a company on Proofpoint Essentials

Inbound email fails after initial setup

Items to check:

  • Verify that MX records for the registered domain have been updated. You can validate domains using the “Test Domain” option on the Domains page.
  • Check external resources for propagation issues.
  • Proofpoint Essentials MTAs are updated every 30 minutes. Therefore new domains (or changes to existing domains) may not have been applied.
  • Ensure you have added the correct IP ranges to lock down your firewall to allow Proofpoint to connect to your mail server.

ERROR: This domain name does not match domain registered in the license key file (cms.orlinpilot.com), allowed domains: support.excelmicro.com,localhost, please change the product path to match the domain under Admin CP > Settings > General Settings
This product will not work properly unless untill that value is changed.
