Edgewave - ePrism Email Security Suite version 10.5 Release

Edgewave is pleased to announce the release of ePrism Email Security Suite version 10.5 on Tuesday March 21st, 2017.

The release will be automatically installed but will not result in any email downtime. During the upgrade users will be logged out from the ePrism web interface.

This release contains spam filter improvements, encryption usability improvements and various feature enhancements and bug fixes.

Mail sent to customers using the old MX record format on the my.redcondor.com brand has been rejected on 12/22/16 due a change in hardware. This issue has been fixed as 5 pm PST 12/22/16.
Please be advised that if you are using the old format you must change it to the new format to avoid an interruption in service before Jan 15, 2017.

Old format:
amx..redcondor.net
bmx..redcondor.net
smx..redcondor.net
vmx..redcondor.net

New format:
.mx1.rcimx.com
.mx2.rcimx.com
.mx3.rcimx.com
.mx4.rcimx.com

Block MS Office files with macros


In case you missed it in our previous announcement we have a NEW filter that allows you to quarantine messages containing MS Office files with macros. Malware in MS Office files is generally written using macros.

To enable this new filter go to the Domain Settings page and in the Filtering Options section look for the "MS Office file contains macro" filter.
